CONIUNCTIO

The work in this body is loosely based around the concept of opposites or "duality". "Coniunctio" refers to the recognition of the union of opposites. It often is used in reference to the sacred union of male and female and the unifying of conscious and subconscious or spirit, soul and body. The dense colors and themes in these paintings point toward connectedness and wholeness; recognizing that the multi-dimensional canvas of existence is made up of coexisting dualities -or any combination of points, vibrating to and fro endlessly along a unified spectrum.
